Nicol谩s Valencia is a Chilean architect, editor, and researcher who joined UTK’s School of Interior Architecture as Visiting Professor in 2025. He is also an ambassador for the Ammodo Architecture Award and nominator for the OBEL Award. From 2019 to 2023 he was Head of Editorial at ArchDaily, where he co-edited The ArchDaily Guide to Good Architecture (2023), the outlet’s first book. His research and teaching focus on the production and circulation of contemporary Latin American architecture, spanning editorial practice, non-building architectural practice, and design pedagogy. He received the 2022 Young Architect Award from the Colegio de Arquitectos de Chile, has served on the jury of the XIX Bienal Nacional de Arquitectura Mexicana, and has exhibited at the XXI Chilean Architecture Biennial and the II Tbilisi Architecture Biennial (Unequal Cities). He is the author of #XFORMAS de Hacer Arquitectura (2022) and Enjundia (2023), and has taught at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) in Spain and the Universidad de Talca in Chile.
