Symptoms and Diagnosis

The Eve Appeal have produced that shows the signs and symptoms to look out for.

Most common symptomsÌýÌý

  • Itching or soreness of vulva, that does not go awayÌý
  • A lump or swelling on the vulvaÌý
  • Bleeding or blood-stained discharge that is not related to periodsÌý
  • A sore or ulcerated area on the vulvaÌý
  • Raised and thickened patches of skin that can be red, white or darkÌý
  • A burning pain when peeingÌý
  • A mole on the vulva that changes shape or colourÌý

The Doctor will need to examine your vulval skin & vagina in clinic. They may need to take a small punch biopsy of this skin.
