Christmas Activities 2025

Christmas officially starts here at SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ (SFT) on Monday 1st December 2025. Our hospital will be filled with a sprinkle of festive cheer and joy!

From sparkling decorations to special events, please see our full schedule below of activities happening that our patients and visitors can get involved in:

Christmas Trees and Lights

25th November - 3rd December

Prepare to see our grounds transform with some magic sparkle as our annual Christmas Trees and lights (funded by the Stars Appeal) will be installed, with a new addition of Santa's Sleigh which will be making it's debut appearance near the Main Entrance.

Christmas Wishes Postbox

1st - 24th December

For Patients & Visitors:ÌýShare a Christmas Wish
Patients and visitors are invited to post a Christmas Wish - an idea or suggestion for how we can make our hospital even better. These wishes will help us understand what matters most to the people we care for, inspiring meaningful improvements throughout the year ahead.

Where to find the Postbox
The Christmas Wishes Postbox will be located in the Main Entrance to the hospital - on top of the old welcome desk. It will be open from 1st December until 24th December.

Christmas Carol Singalong

Thursday 18th December

Join together for a Christmas Carol singalong at 1:00pm in the Main Entrance of the hospital (Level 3). We’ll have a live pianist, song sheets provided, and plenty of holiday joy to share. So warm up those vocal cords and spread the word!

Cathedral Choir Carols

Saturday 20th December

We’re delighted to welcome the Cathedral Choir back to the hospital to perform some traditional carols. Arranged by our Chaplaincy Team, the choir will be singing for staff, patients, and visitors on their walk around the hospital. Ìý

Open Day 2025

On Saturday 7th June 2025, we invited our community to go behind the scenes and discover what happens here at our Hospital.Ìý

Over 40 departments exhibited with interactive demonstrations, activities and displays. The day offered something for all ages, including the popular ‘Toy Hospital’, getting hands-on with lifelike simulation manikins used in the Simulation Centre, therapy pets and understanding the role of ArtCare in supporting our patient experience. Attendees were also treated to a tasting menu courtesy of our Catering Team.Ìý

Watch the short video below to see some highlights from the day.
