Question Number 1: Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) are undertaking a review of current clinical practice to determine the prevalence of metastatic spinal cord compression patients in each of the spinal cord injury centre (SCIC) in the UK. We are looking to determine the specific nature of this condition relating to referral numbers, acceptance within SCICs, refusal of referrals within SCICs, alongside any practice policy / guidance which may have been wrote and the centres are treating patients with MSCC from. This FOI request will allow us to ascertain a clinical scoping exercise of the most up to date statistics from all SCICs in the UK.
