Does the Trust have an official falls protocol or guideline? 6. Does the Trust have a dedicated falls team? o If yes, how many staff members are part of this team? 7. Answer To Question 1: 1. 1178, inclusive of all slips, trips, falls, near misses and assist to the floor for adult inpatients. 2. 279, inclusive as above 3. 50, inclusive of all head injuries and fractures to any bone including fingers and toes. 4. 8, inclusive as above 5. Yes, there is a policy 6. Yes, led by 2 Registered nurses working as 1 whole time equivalent. 7. Answer To Question 3: Q10- We use the CJM Hoverjack Q11- We have 6 units in the Trust. Q12-Yes we do provide regular training for the devices. - at all manual handling practical ward updates and new starters will get theory and one off specific sessions as and when requested. Q13- The Trust Manual Handling Advisor provides the training for these devices - The MHA will provide training in the Hovermatt and Hoverjack to therapy staff and the wards. | |
